Hi again Bonnie, I think you have enough info now to start about 3 family trees, final bit tonight re 1851 census.

If John Jones b 1843 was a Jones and Mary Ann Jones b 1848 was an Emmett, then what was George Jones b 1850 Poplar?

Hey Keyboard ... I have just woke up to find all your messages ... my head is swimming with so much information, thanks once again.

Just quickly, like you said, it looks doubtful that Mary ever married Mr. Jones or Brandon ... 'it was tangled life she lead'

Thanks again and will be back in contact, once I have, maybe, sorted out who goes with whom ???

;D Hi tell me if I did not find this birth earlier re Mary Ann Jones c 1848 ?

Mary Ann Emmett Dec qtr 1847 Glandford B 14 334
Mary Ann G*est Dec qtr 1847 Glandford B 14 3_4

The reason I ask, I went back to see if Glandford Brigg was the registration district for New Holland, and it would not come up!! I think Mary the mother is possibly a GUEST, but will check out?!

Hi again Bonnie and anyone interested in this thread, Mary Ann was also shown on same ref as:-

Mary Ann Emmett Jones Dec qtr 1847 Glandford B v14 page 334

So where/how on earth did I find the 2 above!??

;D OK Bonnie, searching just on the V14 page 3_4 gives a Mary Ann G*est Jones!

So a Mary Guest possibly is the mother?

Hi Keyboard86 ... spent ages yesterday trying to figure out what children go with what father and ended up totally confused  ???   Thanks again for your latest updated ... think it is a very good possibility that the mother, of all the children, was a Mary Guest.  Sorry, but I have to leave this all now as about to go away ... hopefully I will return with a clear head to get a clearer picture.
All your assistance is very much appreciated.  Bonnie

Hello Keyboard86 ... Going on the baptismal records you found under the name BRANDRAM (which I have sighted) it looks to me like Sarah was born August of 1856.  I found a Sarah Ann Brandon birth registered Q3/1856 1d/469 at Rotherhithe.  On all census records, Sarah showed that this is where she was born so will go ahead with the purchase of the certificate.
Thanks again all your help.
Bonnie

Hi BonnieDownunder,
Out of interest have you found anything further on Daniel Samuel Hunt the 'Sea Captain'.  Recently researching name (not FH) and found article Trove newspapers listing which may help?
.....The Daily News (Perth, WA : 1882 - 1950), Thursday 21 July 1949, page 5  a request from a Mrs Mary Murray of Glasgow trying to trace her relatives who came to WA 'some years ago' looking for children of retired sea captain Daniel Samuel Hunt who moved to Perth; children names Amy, Maude, Decima, Deborah, Janet, Sam, Dan. Mrs Amy Williams of Cannington last known contact.
The father of these children is buried in Perth with registered wife Janet (20yrs his junior) and registered mother of children.  Janet and Daniel Snr married in 1900 but there were registered children prior.
