CASTLEBLANEY marriage 1825

I have the date for a marriage 5.1.1825 which took place at Castleblaney. I am presuming this would have been Church of Ireland as his descendants were. I e-mailed St Maeldoid's parish after finding this on the web but the e-mail bounced back.

Does anyone know the best way I can get someone to check the parish records which I believe are available. Many thanks

Write a letter to the church.  That has worked for me at another church.

Hi, thanks for that suggestion. I did have some e-mail correspondence at one stage with a lady from the church who was going to look up the records for me but I never heard anything back.

There's a copy of the marriages from 1811 onwards in PRONI in Belfast. (Parish of Muckno). If you can't get there you could pay PRONI or a researcher to do a look up for you. The Church of Ireland generally also charges for look ups so even if you succeed in making contact with the minister you may have to pay him/her.
