AJ..., thanks !   In fact, according to what I’ve found so far, (and more especially, from what I’ve received here on RootsChat) he has...

1.   Lydia (Lily Liddy) Lee 1827 –
2.   Patience Lee 1827 –
3.   Thomas Jethro Lee 1837 –
4.   EMMA LEE 1838 – 1901
5.   Alfred Lee 1843 –
6.   A wife called Charlotte b1880 (she was obviously extremely beautiful and loved chocolate)
7.   And a possible father called William, b1770)

Emma’s my 2xG and she married Edward Gimber, b1834.   They, had another Emma b1863 and she married James Wood, b1859.    I’m Iain Wood... http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/3994/scotsguards.jpg ..., lol..., my kilt looks as if it distances itself from Kent; nonetheless, I was born in Folkestone.   Plus..., 10 years Changing the Guard at the Palace pushes me back more and more to my Canterbury and Deal roots.   Lol.

Hanes !   Wonderful !   Being recently diagnosed by my psychiatrist as “genealogically smitten,”  ;) it’s absolutely wonderful to be given his nick-name.

Now..., much as I dislike the idea of trespassing the no-mans-land of trade secrets, I surfed your findings to discover very little.   Where does this type of info come from.   Lol !
Learning..., perhaps one day I’d be able to join the Roots-Chat specialists and advise..., instead of continually asking for help.

Thanks all..., Iain.

Hey there. I'm the person who Ancestry tree is referred to in this post :(

Thomas Durban Lee WAS born 1841 in Deal, Kent. For what ever reason his family had moved there and were listed in residence in Deal, Kent prior to Thomas's birth. NO I am not confused about his name and am fully aware that his mothers maiden name was Durban, hence Thomas's middle name... as some of his other siblings

I am leaving the 1871 Census in place for my Thomas Lee as it does have him listed as being born in Deal, Kent, & I have not been able to find any other fitting these details. If I am able to find any document which disprove this then I will remove the census, but until then it remains. I have not been able to find any marriage record for Thomas and Tilda

Found another one from my parish records:

Baptised at Great Mongeham Church 31 Oct 1824 Mary Ann LEE d/o Jethro & Charlotte   A Tramp

Sorry about the description, I copied what the Rector wrote. Anyway, it's an addition to your tree.

Regards

The details for him on my previous post where from Family Search, and he was born in Deal, Kent. Cheers (funny no death was coming up?)

Freebmd and Ancestry have his birth and death registration entries.   The free index on findmypast shows his burial.

To add a bit of detail to Rosie's reply, Thomas Durban LEE was baptised at St Leonard's Church, Deal on 22nd Nov 1841, son of Robert Paramour & Mary LEE. He was a Solicitor of Queen Street, Deal.
The records show Estry because Deal comes under Eastry Registration District.
