Thanks, I don't think it would be the Stepney ones as the age of George is way off.  The school registration has him at age 11 in 1894 with the 12 May 1883 birthday.

What I found REALLY interesting is that one of the witnesses to George Alfred and Mary Ann's wedding that I mentioned really early on, Edith Elizabeth Duff, married Mary Ann's brother, James in 1909.  On the marriage register they are listed as living at 110 Livingstone Road so the same street as this George and George combination ! Could just be a co-incidence and there are some may false positives in research but I feel I am getting somewhere if I can just nail down other records to verify.

PS what was the year of birth of the possible brother Thomas?
George / Tommy have a younger brother Fred b c 1891 Battersea, they are all living at Sewell Road, Battersea,  Wandsworth?

Thomas was born on 19 Jul 1885 according to the school enrolment.  The enrolment was on 24 Sep 1894.

If i work backwards to the 1891 census (which was held on 5 April) then George Alfred would have been 7 at the time of the census and not 8 (assuming 12 May 1883 birthday) and Thomas would have been 5.

The date of George Alfred's birthday may be wrong so yes it is possible.  Sorry, I did read that 1891 reference wrong ... The Labourer occupation and Builder (on George A's marriage records) could match the father George in this reference.

The only thing that really bugs me is that George Alfred is otherwise always listed as a Battersea birth place which is obviously quite different to Stepney ... I have just found another thread (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=467722.0) referencing the same as you have that suggests the father is George Albert Hunt and not George Henry so I may be barking up the wrong tree.

Thanks Jennifer

Yeah, I am pretty sure that this group i not the one I am looking for.  If I can tie down George Henry to the Livingstone Road address in 1891 or 1901 census then that will help with my theory on the school registrations - trying to do it is hard though !

I am looking towards the family being the one in Sewell Road. Emma is now Emily, but Frederick matches up and then younger children.
