One that's slipped under the radar, can anyone help please?

George Milward married .....? in Whitton, Radnorshire in 1797.

Any kind person able to tell me his wifes name please, my searches all draw blanks.

how sure are you about where he married? There's this one in the right year in Shropshire

Thanks for your reply, I have seen the record you refer to ... but there is also a record for 'a marriage in Whitton' (both records are for George Milward, in the same year, so I can only assume that there was TWO marriages with very similar details to each other).

Many thanks for your help Deirdre and Roger, I'm so pleased to have got that information ... brilliant.

Funny how one door shuts when one door opens though ... I had posted, previously, for information on George's sister and brothers, Ann Milward, Thomas Milward and James Milward, that were all unacounted for ... and now George has married an Ann, making TWO Ann Milwards of the same generation!!! ha ha.

... and just to 'rub dirt in my face' ... I note that one of the witnesses at George and Ann's wedding was the 'elusive' James Milward, proving that he 'once lived ... but left no trace' ... ha ha
