Hi Diane and thanks for your message. I too have found numerous spellings of this family name. My research began with my mother-in-law, Mary Duroe, who hailed from Chesterfield. Going back her line goes to Hasland, Hulland Ward and Bradley near Ashbourne. So far I have located over 60 members of this line but haven't got any further back than Samuel Duroe b 1805 who married Mary Pool at Duffield in 1837. I guess there are links somewhere that ties up these various branches. David
