First time on here.

Are you still looking for information on the Sando family of Niagara?

Hi Kevin
Thank you for getting in touch, the Sando family are in my husbands tree, his 1st cousin 2x removed was Emily York Crook born 1864 Liverpool England, she was married to John Sando on 1 November 1885 in Ontario, Canada he was the son of Stephen Sando and Joanna Cahill.
I was in touch with a Cathy Sando a long time ago she was the granddaughter of John and Emily.
If I can be of any help please get back to me hope to hear from you

Hi Sue,

That's an interesting connection.  If I can ask, who were your husband's parents and grandparents?

I have also been in contact with Cathy and she had been very helpful with supplying some old family photos.

I will be sending her a note today because yesterday I found another daughter, Grace, born in 1882 to John Sando and his first wife Elizabeth Abbott.  Elizabeth died the following year.

Are you based in the UK?  Have you done any research on Stephen Sando and/or Johanna Cahill and their respective parents?

I hope to order a film today from LDS re Johanna's will.

I am also intrigued with the work that you may have done on the Bolton family.  The Bolton's are another main branch for me.  Maria Rachel Bolton was a 3rd great grandmother of mine.  She married my 3rd GGrandfather Robert Sherlock in York (now Toronto) on 14 Feb 1835.  They are the two who started our Sherlock family line in Niagara.

Thank you in advance,
Kevin
