COMPLETED - what does "Remove Selected" mean
« on: Sunday 05 May 13 23:14 BST (UK) »
Sorry,
but I have searched FAQ and all over and do not understand ..."Remove Selected" in red box.
It appears to do with personal messages.
Can someone explain please.
Tavy

Tavy,

I'm sorry the Help pages haven't helped you on this one, but we will have to update them.  :)

You can remove a few personal messages by ticking the boxes next to them (you will see a little tick or a little cross when you do) then you press "Remove Selected". RootsChat will then remove those that you've selected.

Does that answer your question?

also when one feels their topic has been answered how do you let others know or delete it. Such as this topic ... now finished.

Hi Tavy,

if it's completed within 24 hours of starting it, then you can click on "modify" in the first item in the topic and add the word "Completed" to the title.  Otherwise, use the "report to moderator" link to ask a moderator to do it for you.
(In this case, I've done it for you, as the topic was started on monday :) )

Hi Tavy

going back to your earlier question, please remember that if you delete your personal messages, especially by accident, it is not possible to retrieve them. Once they're gone, they're gone for good.
