Marriage/Death in Peel, Streetsville
« on: Wednesday 08 May 13 22:36 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone

Would anyone please be able to look at (or send me a copy if possible?) a marriage for a Bertram Cecil Root in 1927 please in Peel, Streetsville.

His parents were Bertram and Alice Root and he was born in Sutton, Surrey, England.

He also died there but I'm not sure when.

Many thanks
Kind regards

Hi Sandra

Many thanks you have researched a lot for me.

I am going to print it all out and have a good read up.

It looks like his father was a witness at his 2nd marriage, (haven't read the first yet)
so looks like his father either went for a visit or lived there?

Sandra can I ask another favour and see if you can find when they came to Canada please?

It is really strange as some years ago I found other ancestors from another side of the family living in the same place, Streetsville in Peel and marrying there too and my friend now lives in Fort Myers - how weird is that!

Thank you again for taking the tie and trouble to look for me, it is nice when you get to know a bit more.

Kind regards

Hi Cranstone,

Always pleased to help if I can. There was a Canadian Passenger List showing the father Bertram Root born 1874 and aged 39 years, travelling to Canada on the Empress of Ireland 27 September 1912 - Liverpool to Montreal. Bertram was an oil man. Going to join brother-in-law.  Also travelling Mrs Bertram Roots aged 38 years. B Chas Root aged 10 years. Lily Root 11 years and Nera Root aged 2 years. Going to Streetville.
