Mary Ann Macvee (Mcvee, Mcree, Macree)
« on: Tuesday 21 May 13 18:16 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am searching for ancestors of Mary Ann Macvee (Also spelled McVee, MacRee, McRee). She married December 22 1874 Poplar to Francis John Mallinder. According to marriage she was born around 1848, her father appears to say Neal Macvee. I have been unable to find a birth or marriage for her parents.

Regards,

Curtis

Hi

According to marriage she was born around 1848,

You haven't given any details of where she was born - 1881 shows Leamington Warwickshire

Have you looked for her on earlier censuses to see where her parents were born

I could not finding anything using FreeCEN. My Ancestry subscription just ran out.

Does it list the parents on the Census you found?

It was the 1881 census so she was married by then

If she was born Leamington Warwickshire on the 1881 census - she is unlikely to be the 1861 entry you found

Fathers occupation was laborer. Residence of Francis John Mallinder and Mary Ann Macvee was both Bow. Witnesses were John and Maria, I am unsure of their surname it looks like Gunnwood
