Recently found your thread and believe that I can help you. I am helping a friend,Walter Rhodes Brown, compile his family tree. Walter is 88 years old and lives near Geelong in Victoria, Australia.George William Brown is his grandfather and we have traced most of George's descendants in Australia.
Whilst you are looking for family in Australia, we are looking for ancestors in England. We have some information on Henry Rhodes, Georges brother, but nothing on their sister Ann. Also require any information on William, their father's, ancestors.
There is an opportunity for you to get some first hand information from a great grand daughter of George William as she is going to York and London in early July. She will be seeking information on the family while she is in England and I am sure that she would love to meet with you if you are so inclined.
As you can see, time is the enemy, and we need to move fast if this meeting is to take place.
