Researching Alfred Wilson b. abt, 1843 in London, h/o Elizabeth Ann. Children: Arthur, John, Mary Ann, Louisa Catherine. Uncertain as to whether they remained in Kendal after 1871, believe they moved to Kendal bet. 1866-1868 and are on the 1871 census. Requesting confirmation. Thank you.

Did Elizabeth Wilson Alfred's wife die in Kendal in 1875 age 36 (from FreeBMD) and Alfred and children Elizabeth and John return to London and in 1881 were lodging with a possible relation Charles Wilson as below at 46 Pages Walk Bermondsey

Thanks for your response, this is indeed the correct family.  I am trying to locate the death of Elizabeth Ann Wilson in 1875 as you have indicated but am having difficulty finding it. Will continue to look.  The information you provided is very helpful.

I can't see Mary Ann or Arthur in 1881 at the moment.

Sometime bet. 1871- 1881 Alfred Wilson becomes a widower.  Still trying to locate the death record of his wife Elizabeth Ann Wilson b. 1840.

Ordered death certificate: Kendal Sept 1875 10b 450 as the age seemed to match best but this certificate is for an Elizabeth Ann Wilson age 36 w/o Allan Wilson, sister Anne Hayhurst is the informant.  This Elizabeth Ann would have the maiden name of Hayhurst which is incorrect.

I did not order the 1871 certificate as the age is off by several years, she would be approx. 31 years old in 1871.

Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
