Dennis HURLEY, Ballincollig Cork

Hello,
I am looking for information on my Great-Grandfather, Dennis HURLEY, born I think Sep. 3, 1835 in Inniscarra, Ballincollig, Cork. His Death Certificate says he was born in 1826 and his US Naturalization papers say born 1844, but I think that I have the correct date from RootsIreland. His father was Daniel Hurley possibly born Aug. 27, 1814 in Inniscarra, Cork and Margaret Shea. Dennis died in Boston on Aug. 16, 1889.

He married Mary BARRETT, born on July 21, 1839 in Inniscarra, Cork. Her parents were William Barrett and Honora Ford.  I found a Church Marriage record for Mary Barrett and a Dennis Healey Nov. 21, 1859. I think (hope), that it might be correct and that they did not spell his surname correctly. Mary Barrett Hurley died in Boston on Oct. 23, 1876.

They possibly lived for a time in England or Scotland, arrived in New York about 1864. They lived in Boston.

They had 6 children:
John D. born Sep. 28, 1860
William T. born July 17, 1868, died May 15, 1936
Honorah H. born July 15, 1863, married Sullivan
Daniel W. born Apr. 20, 1867
Ellenor (Nellie) M. born Aug. 17, 1870 died Feb. 27, 1914
Katherine E. born May 12, 1873

I am looking for any records of them or their forebears in Ireland, or even for a time England/Scotland.

Did they emigrate to Boston later perhaps,theres a son by wifes previous marriage or whatever on here.

This looks like could be your family in 1871 Manchester.

That's not them.

I believe that they immigrated about 1864. I know that William T. was born in Boston in 1868.

I'm not positive about the England/Scotland connection.

Traced Dennis age 47 US 1880 Boston,with Nora A age 16,William T age 11,Nellie M age 9.
Nora listed as born Ireland.

This birth may be her,its been mistranscribed I would say.

I have the 1880 Boston Census, is that what you have for 1880?

Wife Mary was missing on 1880,you have her as having died previously.
Unsure as to Bantry birth but at least you know Nora A was born in Ireland,both son William T,and dau Nellie born US Mass.       Looked at original image for details.

I could not find any info in Griffiths Valuations for either Dennis Hurley or his Father Daniel Hurley in Cork.

I did find info on William Barrett who is Mary (Barrett) Hurley's Father in Carrigrohanebeg, Cork which is near Inniscarra and Ballincollig:
