Marriage in Galway 1866- https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FGDQ-KTY

Can't see any children in extracted Irish births.

Civil registration of births in Ireland started in 1864 and the civil registration index is online at www.familysearch.org but impossible to tell from index alone which, if any, children might belong to them.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

hi all, found a fair bit out about George Clarke since the post above --im just missing his birth-and years up till 1853 when he joined the army ----then from 1874 when he lived at 20 Cromwell street widnes as his son john Robert was born there and georges name was on the birth certificate ---then he disappears again and mary ends up in prescot union workhouse in 1877 when she gave birth to my granddad, james Clarke-- she gave no indication of a father on james BC  she is still in the workhouse in 1880 when their son George eli dies and it says that George Clarke father is deceased , I believe mary is still in the workhouse in 1881 census

Hi,
Just a correction to your earlier post- you may have it sorted now though.
You say that John Robert was born in Oldham- he was born Widnes but married in Oldham.

Heywood

Apologies, I see you have put new info in latest post!

That's fine. I understood that you had a gap between 1853 and 1874 re records for George. :)
