Hi Maultway

I now live in York, but have family still living in Leeds. I am trying to sort out all the info on both the Shackleton side of the family plus my father side, quite a task.

The Shackletons furniture store  is still a thriving business in Leeds.

I wonder if any of them inherited it.

Please let me know if you come across a Shackleton having married a Chappell I found one so far.

I also saw John Shackleton born London had a twin Sarah although on one census she was down as 3 years difference

I did see both the births same date

Did you see the births, or the baptisms?

Many people got their children baptised in "batches" - because it was cheaper that way! ;D
Or, they moved to a new parish and the priest was more insistent?! ::)

So never assume that a baptism date has to be close to a birth date! ;D
