must be of use to someone?
« on: Wednesday 05 June 13 11:01 BST (UK) »
visited a church yesterday and made a note of a memorial plaque on the wall.

john Watkins of the cwm d. 18 aug 1810 aged 67,  Isabella his wife d. 22 sept 1818 aged 76,
their only son john d. 3mach 1813? poss. 1843?  aged 59
Rebecca ann lewis dau. of john and Isabella  d. sept 6 1817 aged 61.

another  Thomas davies d. 30 july 1767. aged74  his wife mary d. 20 june 1790 aged 103

I cannot find any of this on familysearch, but it must be of use to someone somewhere, the question is where, if anywhere, to put it.

the church is st. mary Gladestry welsh borders

This might be John Watkins' baptism:

6 Dec 1741 Gladestry, Radnorshire John

Isabella'sRebecca's age is a bit out:

Baptism - 18 June 1765

I saw that Isabella but its ten years out, maybe I noted it incorrectly but  double checked, I should add that I was there for other reasons, but the 103 year old caught my eye, she was born not long after the civil war ended, what tales could she have to tell, I  wonder?

I must learn to search more carefully  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I spent some time going round the churchyard but the headstones have suffered very much, anything before 1850 is pretty much unreadable, which is a shame as any clues with common welsh names can be useful.
