You were asking how he originated so I wasn't sure what you had already.

In the 1841 census there is a likely candidate at a school in Common Wood, Cashio hamlet, Watford, with brother Thomas.

In the 1851 census there is a possible candidate in lodgings in Liverpool: an 18 year old clerk with a telegraph company.

OK  so he went out after that then ,My Aunt goes out with a family presumably and ends up in Alexandria .Her Hubby was Edward C Evans so she did quite well really for herself
