It would be appreciated if anyone can help to find Arthur James Harrison born at Walworth,Surrey circa 1850, died 4th May 1924 in the District of Camberwell. I am unable to trace him beyond 1881 census. He married Mary Ann Bird 21st April 1878 please. :)

Thank you for info. I have the ones you have found. I am looking back in census for 1871; 1861;1851 and 1841, I am unable to trace him and his parents for the above mentioned periods. :)

For others looking - on the marriage record it states Arthur James Harrison's father as Arthur James Harrison (deceased)  ???

Hi,

It would appear that Arthur James Harrison's marriage to Mary Ann Bird was his second marriage.
He was previously married to Elizabeth King 30 Nov 1873. Walworth. On that record his father is again Arthur James Harrison (deceased).

All that said it doesn't help to find him on the census you want  ???

Hi

Have also found this marriage in 1870, of an Amelia Harrison of 10 Ellis's Square, Newington

5 June 1870 St Mary Newington

Richard West  full  bachelor shoemaker 9 Ellis's Square. Father: Richard West~shoemaker
Amelia Harrison  minor spinster, 10 Ellis's Square. Father: James Harrison~Gilder
Witnesses: Thomas Thomas and Jane Crump.

Richard West was also a witness to the marriage of Elizabeth King and Arthur James Harrison.

In the 1881 census Arthur and Mary Ann have a lodger Harry Moaks 21, in the 1871 census HENRY Moaks 12 is living at 7 Ellis's Square.
