Hello All,

I found this thread whilst researching my Great Uncle Walter Whiteley who served in the Manchester pals, his number was 26079. I have all the details of where when and how, and also his medal cards and enrolment papers. But I cannot find a picture of him if one exists at all, can anyone help, I have seen that you posted one for Sandra C and wondered if you could point me in the right direction to find the batallion picture to include Walter.

Yours Thankfully
Neil Whiteley

Hello All,

Im hoping someone can help me, I have come to a dead end concerning my great uncle Walter Whiteley who served in the Manchester Pals and died on the first day of the war, I think I have all his records? along with his standard medal card, but what im really after is a photo as somewhere down the line the only picture has been lost by a relative, I was hoping someone on here can offer some advice of how I might go about finding a photo? any other information would be greatly appreciated.

Yours Thankfully
Neil Whiteley

As Whitely81/Neil had two threads going for this chap I have split the replies from the other thread and merged them with the Whitely thread so that everything is now in one place with his name - here on this thread.

Sadly the photograph section of . does not look to be working at the moment. :'( If anyone has come across any photographs I would be interested in hearing from them.
