Hi Bob,

There have been no stories about James MacKay of which I am aware. In a book I have of family histories in the area it tells me that "Jane Anderson was a widow when she married John. Her name had previously been Taylor and she was a partner in a firm called Anderson, Taylor and Company."

I will search the book for any information on James MacKay. I'll check with other family members for you too.

Liz
