Did your Grandfather Patrick marry Alice Bridson in 1913 and have seven children between 1913 and 1927? Perhaps his age was reduced because he married and had children later in life?

Hi Cath welcome aboard, the birth rego for little angel Patrick J gives his mother's maiden name as
Bridson. Would that be correct? Lancs BMD have a marriage for Patrick J SLOANE to Alice Bridson 1913 june qtr W Dby rego or perhaps a Catholic marriage.

Could you look up an entry for me please?

I have an Edward Joseph WALSH, buried in Yew Tree Cemetery 31st March 1962. The entry in the ancestry database is unclear its either 1G 52 or 1C 52.

I'd be interested to know if the grave was purchased, plus if its any clearer on your record as I may be able to visit this week to see if there is a headstone I can photograph, I have a plan of the cemetery sections so knowing which section would save me a lot of time :-)

Thanks

Boo

Thank you very much ozranga, I really appreciate you taking the time to help.

The details match with what I expected with the added bonus of his wife, Kathleen, interred in the same grave - which I suspected but wasn't sure about. It confirms the death registration I have for her in the 'possibles box' (not got the cert as I can't afford them for 'twiglets').

Fingers crossed there is a headstone, though I couldn't see one last time I was there but had 'very' limited time so may have missed it.

Thanks again

Boo

Me again, ozranga.
I didn't manage to get to the cemetery the other week (the living took priority!)

I have high hopes of getting there next week though and, if you have time, would you check another grave for me please?

Daniel O'CONNOR, died 30th May 1935,  buried in grave 3C 285, Yew Tree on 3rd June 1935

and Catherine O'CONNOR (his wife), died 30th July 1942, buried in the same grave on 4th August 1942

As they were buried in the same grave, 7 years apart, I assume that this grave was purchased and would be really interested to know if the records show any other details or burials in this grave.

Thanks

Boo

Oh thank you!

That is super, I knew Daniel and Catherine were buried there but so far had no idea when Mary J died so that really helps me.

and its helped me to ascertain that Mary Josephine is the aunt my Pa in law refers to as Mary, and not  the Josephine (who married) and was baptised as Johanna.
They were very odd about names in this family, I think there were only two who were known by the name they had been given at birth.
I spent 2 entire years looking for Aunty Lily who emigrated to America and married 'someone with a German sounding name' :-) Turned out her 'Sunday name' was Eleanor Mary.

They don't make it easy for us , he he

But the kindness and willingness of people such as yourself is an enormous help

Much appreciated

Boo
