« on: Monday 24 June 13 15:08 BST (UK) »
Hubbys family descend from HENRY PERFECT 1703 Denton Norfolk to Henry Parfett and Elizabeth Smyth All generations further back are TBC, ELIZABETH SCOT c1704  Denton, Norfolk. Henry  married Elizabeth 1 Sept 1729 in Denton, Norfolk.  They had 1 son John Perfect abt 1728

I've been asked if I can find a connection to Lewis Perfect 17 Oct 1791 Fulford York I believe his parents were Joseph and Grace, I can't see a connection but I wondered if I was missing something

Regards

Julie

Denton Registers, Henry was a widow when he married Elizabeth Scot, spinster 29 May 1729.
His first wife also an Elizabeth having been buried 23 January 1729.
John baptized 16 October 1728 is the son of Henry and his first wife Elizabeth, daughter Mary baptized 3 December 1730 is of Henry and his second wife Elizabeth Scot.

Hi

Many thanks, will have to have another look at the Denton records, you've given me a few new leads, I still hadn't found John's bapt so your information came in very useful.

Thanks once again

Julie

Hi,

I have found this little bit but it doesn't say where Joseph Perfect was born.

Lewis Perfect could have been baptised at the old Methodist Church or the Original St Oswalds Church which is on the corner of Love Lane and St Oswalds Road in Fulford. The newer St Oswalds Church replaced the original one in 1866.

Hi Julie,

I have continued having a look about and cannot find a connection with your hubby's family and Lewis Perfect.

All the information I have found says that Lewis Perfects line can be traced back to a Noah Perfect who lived in Pontefract.

The only thing I can suggest is seeing if you can find a link between Noah Perfect and your hubby's family.

Hi Nettie

It's one of the regulars who gets his newspaper every morning at work who descends from the Yorkshire Perfects he never came across a connection either so I reckon it's just a coincidence that his ancestors share the same surname as hubby.

Regards
