cause of death
« on: Friday 28 June 13 12:32 BST (UK) »
I have a death certificate which states the cause of death as 'natural decay, 3 months'. I know natural decay means natural causes/old age, but what does the 3 months mean?

It means he/she had been suffering from this condition for 3 months.

It still seems odd, given that "old age" was the implied cause of death but I guess it means that he/she had developed non-specific old age related illnesses three months ago.
