Where are these beach group photos taken? Possibly Hastings?

Hi I wondered if anyone can help?

I have 4 of these group photos from A M Breach who was from Hastings. They date from about 1910 and I wondered if anyone can recognise if they were taken in Hastings? I have posted 2 different views.
 
http://www.photohistory-sussex.co.uk/Breach.htm says that in the 1920's Breach would set up near the pier at Hastings.

I've looked at StreetView of Hastings near the pier and the buildings behind don't look that similar and the railings look different.

Would be great if someone could help?

Both photos were taken in Hastings.  The second was taken at White Rock.

Look at the photo on the right hand side of this page, under the table of addresses.  You can see the shop - White & Norton? that appears in the second photo with the arch - in the background in that.

Scrolling down towards the bottom there is a larger version of that photo - and examples of his beach groups!

Looking at Google Streetview, that shop is now occupied by the British Heart Foundation.  The distinctive arch is still there, with the two bay windows above.  And ths shop next to it which was a photographers is still a photo processor named Marriots.

The first photograph is taken a bit further along on the beach at Carlisle Parade, near the present day Chatsworth Hotel, looking in an easterly direction.

Hello there

Sorry, but I think you have got the location of one of the pictures incorrect.

Whilst I agree that one picture is of the present day Chatsworth hotel on Carlisle parade  - you need to go a bit further west to identify the other.

It is part of the Palace Hotel - look at the picture and underneath the word Chemist (written on the side of building) you will see the arch window.

The archway you referred to above the British Heart Foundation is fairly modern (last 10 years) having been constructed when the building was converted to flats - it used to be Rocks Carriage Works who made carriages for Queen Victoria

Sorry I can't help/add to anything others have contributed, but I just wanted to say what stunning photographs!  Wish I had some in such a beautiful condition and with such clarity - you can really see everyone's features. You are very lucky!

I agree 100% that the arch on the left hand side of the second photo is part of the Palace hotel, but scroll across to see the right hand side of it to see the words White & No...... over a pointed archway.  The full width of the photo doesn't show here.  Comparing the building above that arch with the modern upper building confirms it is the same, I think.
