Ok, here's the Randwick henry Ackling having children in NSW from 1862. The time frame fits, so maybe your Henry Ackling went to the Goldfields and ended up with a new family in Sydney? I wonder if anyone has a tree up on Ancestry or WCP for this Henry?

No NSW marriage for Henry (James) Ackling/Hackling/Acklin from 1820-1884 either.

Looks like a dead end. Family Trees on Ancestry show this Henry as being born 10 Feb 1837 in Highworth, Wiltshire, England, arriving in Austraia in 1858 and marrying Winifred Batts in Sydney in 1861. Oh well. back to the drawing board.
