Thanks for joining in Gadget - appreciate any help ....
1901 census says Thomas and Mary Jane BOTH b Ludlow ....Alice b Ludlow - so you would expect the marriage to be in Ludlow .....Mary Jane b 1866/67 ...according to both census returns ...can`t see a marriage in 1881 in Wolverhampton and then no kids for 4 years ...the 1885 Alice birth to Mary Jane ??? and not as Watkins looks much more viable ...so
Gadget - can you explain why Mary Jane Catstree has taken your eye ??....I don`t quite understand why ?
added...can`t see an Alice Catstree b 1885 - so ...but - is it a coincidence that Ludloe is very prominent for that surname - and there are a couple in Liverpool as well ??

Thomas Watkins Preece and Mary Jane H. Lloyd.

According to familysearch the marriage took place 28/9/1887 at Ludlow and the H in Mary Jane's name stands for Husk.

This looks good - don`t quite understand why -  but my wife has just said that Annie b 1894 married a Husk and went to live in Senghennyd , in the Welsh Valleys ...which is where my wifes cousin lives now ...too much of a coincidence ??... I wonder if there is an Alice Lloyd b 1885 Ludlow ...going to check

Thomas Watkins bc.1864 (according to marriage entry).   Census shows him to be son of Thomas Watkins and wife Elizabeth.

Looks like they'd been practising before marriage as Thomas Watkins married Elizabeth Preece 19/3/1865 Ludlow, Shropshire.
