Could anyone look up the 2 spellings Curedale and Cuerdale for Burnley and Bolton le Moors in 1861 census.

I am building a family tree for my small family that I have traced back to around 1100.

The spellings have changed from Keuerdale 1100 to 1400
Cuerdale or Kuerdall or Curedall  1400 to 1650

Curedale or Cuerdale 1650 to present

Members lived in Cuerdale near Preston 1100 to 1400
Preston Lancashire1400 to 1900
Burnley Lancashire1750 to 1900 aprox St Peters Church
Bolton le Moors Lancshire ? to 1850 aprox St Peters Church
Dublin Ireland 1900 to present.

I am partcularly interested in finding out the parents of Edward Curedale born in Bolton le Moors 1742 and any other family members from Bolton le Moors during the 1700s.

Members of the family were part of guild in Preston from 1500 to 1640. One was an Alderman.

An early Keuerdale, Gospatric may have been the same person Gospatric de Samlesbury who built Samlesbury hall and Church because his birth and death dates seem to be the same and Cuerdale is located near to Samlesbury.

Cuerdale Hall is near Samlesbury. A viking treasure was found there in 1840.

The family has less than 40 members today. About 5 in England, 2 in Ireland perhaps 20 in Australia and 2 individuals in the US.
