Hello , I am desperately looking for any information on my great grandfather James Ohanlon. He was born in  dundalk county Louth  Northern Ireland. He was born around 1906 and passed away in 1982(aged 76).When he passed away he was living in Preston Lancashire England.  He was married to Constance Jordan she passed away in 1976 ( also in Preston)aged 56 and they had 5 children together  James, David, Constance,Maureen , Peter in no particular order.. we know he was in the army and was stationed some time before 1944 in the isle of man.I know he had two brothers Bernard,George.  Any Information would be greatly appreciated.

You have quite a bit of information there so it is difficult to know what you are searching. As you have posted on the Isle of Man board, is it his life there that you are interested in or do you want James' parents names etc?
His marriage certificate would show his father's name. This is the reference:

June quarter 1939  Preston  volume 8e  page 1250

You can look for his birth index reference at Family Search https://familysearch.org/

The Irish census for 1911 may have him: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

May I also add that names of living persons should not be posted here.

He was born around 1906 and passed away in 1982(aged 76).

The only death for a James O'Hanlon in 1982 in Preston was born 31.3.1913 and died June 1982

Are you sure you have his correct birthyear as that James was only 69 - not 76

Constance was born 6.2.1919 and was 57 when she died in 1976

Both deaths were registered in the Preston & South Ribble registration districts
