Using freeBMD you can establish a reference from which you can order a copy of the death certificate. This will show cause of death, address and possibly of interest the name of the person registering the death.  See https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage-certificate

I was a previous transcriber to FreeBMD for 6 years, and will check the death there then follow up.
