Interesting articles regarding typhoid fever hitting the Bird family in 1886. Thanks for those, Rosball. The daughter who died was only 17, Georgina/Georgiana Bird. George Bird luckily survived to look after their big family.

Nancy Bird is my great grand mother. I've just discovered this thread when searching google for her funeral notice.
She died in January 2000
