I am intrigued about the origins of the Hushar family, in the 17th century in Dorset Husar but in the 19th century often Husher although my great-grandmother, Jane Hushar born 1857 Buriton, Hampshire still used the name Hushar. Her father Charles was also a son of Henry Hushar and Elizabeth Morgan. Henry's parents were William Husar and Elizabeth Morgan. William's parents were Robert Husar born 1723 who married Mary Best in Horton in 1748. Where does this Husar/Hushar name come from?

A tangent I will admit but William Henry's mother was Elizabeth Hushar, referred to in a reply above as Eliza Usher/Husher so that's where my interest came in. Sorry if I am hijacking your post somewhat.
