Taylor, Latheron
« on: Thursday 08 August 13 12:43 BST (UK) »
Please accept my apoligies if I'd asked for this information before as I take a periodic revision of my tree.
I'm looking for information on Robert Taylor, no birth information and his parents but I've got his marriage 8th April 1791 to Christina Miller in Latheron.

The information I require is his birth date, his parents names and any children of his marriage.

Thanks.

Dominic.

Hi there

Are you sure it's Robert MILLER & Christian MILLER you're after?

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XTLN-Z4H
Alexander MILLER & Christian MILLER married on that date, 8 Apr 1791, Latheron

There is a Robert MILLER b abt 1796 Latheron in the Census, wife Helen, whom I think may prove to be a  son of the above Alexander & Christian:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XBMJ-DJJ
Robert MILLER chr 28 Feb 1796 Latheron,  Father: Alexander TAYLOR.

These baptisms on Family Search are only showing Father's name (they would have been like that on the Parish record, as some of them were done that way). Siblings may be the following on Family search christenings (all Latheron):
1792: Katherine
1794: Christian
1799: Jean
1801: Helen
1807: Donald

Information in Parish registers is sparse but here's what I have from Volume 1 Latheron Parish.
Robert Taylor in Easter Clyth had a child baptized Alexander before (Ditto'd?) 1760
Alex'er Taylor and Christ. Miller both East Clyth contracted in order to marriage and married 8th April 1791.
Alex. Taylor in E Clyth had a child baptized named Robert ( Feb 28th 1796)
Robert Taylor (1796) married Helen Sinclair (1800) on 15th July 1824. They had six children that I have found.
Bell (1831)
Robert (1834)
Magnus (1836)
Barbra  (1839)
Donald (1842)
George (1844)

Spelling is from the searchable records.
Hope this helps

Thanks Monica.
Could I also add another three names to the list I posted;
Christy 1826
Ala (possible Alexander) 1828
and
Janet 1830
Somehow I overlooked them earlier. ???
