I have a copy of the National Burial Index but am particularly looking for burials in or around the Belper Area for the surname Blood between 1816 and 1840, I have just five, there must be more, can you help?

You probably already have the following -

Freebmd Sept 1837 - Dec 1840

Catharine Blood Vol 19 Page 233 Dec 1838
Millecent Blood Vol 19 Page 367 Mar 1840

IGI

William Blood Burial 8th May 1831
George Blood Burial 10th March 1836
Harriet Blood Burial 10th March 1836

Guess that's probably the five.

Steve

Just to recap ... I'm confused again  ???

You said you had 5 burials; are they the 5 noted by stevew101 or do they include the 2 from shirl100 & sunflower so 2 of steve's are new?

Hi,

Any burial In Belper prior to 1824/5. when St. Peter's Church was built, would have taken place
in St. Johns.  Most burials of Belper folk took place at the Parish Church in Duffield.
Belper Cemetery, Matlock Road opened about 1861.

There is a small area of land in Belper know as Bloods Bank.  This is situated at the corner of
Lander Lane and High Street.

Are you looking for anyone in particular, or just collecting anyone of the name Blood?
