Hi
I took a look in the Swedish Church Books and found his birth record and thought it might be interesting to post it.
He was a seaman and signed off in Liverpool on 24 June 1877.

I'm not sure whether this is where I post but here goes. My grandmother Mabl Loughlan (nee Smith) is buried in Harehills cemetery, not sure of plot number but she asked to be buried there as her father is buried there. We think he is in a guinea grave, his name is William Smith and he born on the 16/10/1875 and he died on the 23/02/1939 both in Leeds. Any help with this would be very much appreciated thank you....

Welcome to RootsChat!

Yorkshire Indexers have transcribed the Harehills registers, and I've found William Smith - buried 27 Feb 1939, aged 63; grave no. U1/283. It may well be a guinea grave as there are 7 burials there, all from the first few months of 1939, and all with different surnames.

I couldn't find Mabel Loughlan, though. When did she die, and at what age, and did she ever use any other name? (Or did she revert to Mabel Smith? - there were a few of those.)
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

Thank you. Mabel Loughlan (nee Smith) was born on the 07/02/1919 in Leeds and died on the 06/09/1998. I know it is definitely there as I was at the burial lol. I have attached a photo of her plate on her cross..
