Kia Ora, my name is Lisa Shearer and I am a descendent of William Swanson and Ani Rangitunoa, his 3rd wife. I am descended from Ngati Kahungunu in the Hawkes bay area. I have seen the Goldie portrait of Willie Swanson and also an old cloak that was woven by Ani Rangitunoa, a master weaver.
I hope this is of interest to you, cheers Lisa

Hi all!

My name is Leanne Williams. My great, great, great, great, great grandfather is William Swanson, from his marriage with Ani.

I would LOVE if anyone had any information on the family that I could see - I'm in Australia, but am really interested in finding out more about my NZ side 😊 I can be contacted by (*)

Looking forward to hearing from anyone 😊

Hi Ngaere swanson, I am the grandaughter of Tui your Aunt. So you are my father Paul Roberts' cousin. I have been doing whakapapa of Ani Rangitunoa with my sister Lee for many years now and would like to be in contact with you to share information. I will try to PM you. Perhaps this thread is too old now.

This thread is at least 12 months old now. But William had three Māori wives. First was Mere Ngaoko, Second was Timata titoko and then Ani Rangituona - my great gandmother.
