Vera SELLERS died 11 August 1989 at Buxton Hospital, Buxton, Derbyshire, England

I have looked at the online burial register of Buxton Cemetery but she is not listed

Is there a cremation register / crematorium near by ?

Thank you!

Harold Sellers died 11 May 1991 at Buxton Hospital, Buxton, Derbyshire (of Dakin Avenue, Fairfield, Derbyshire) - Florrie Slinn, niece, informant of Fairfield, Derbyshire

Also not on the Buxton Cemetery Burial Register online.

(He was born on 25 Apr 1904 in Fairfield, Derbyshire.)

Harold SELLERS married Vera LANE on 31 Oct 1925 at St John the Baptist, Earlestown, Newton in Makerfield, Lancashire - they had one child, a daughter I believe!

yes thanks - was able to access those but they were not listed there - suspect burial at St Peter's Fairfield - or maybe cremated somewhere else - not sure how to locate them!

"Keep searching!"

Cremations from the Buxton area usually take place at either Macclesfield or Stockport Crematorium

Get in touch with both to see if they are in the records
Wainwright - Yorkshire
Whitney - Herefordshire
Watson -  Northamptonshire
Trant - Yorkshire
Helps - all
Needham - Derbyshire
Waterhouse - Derbyshire

reply:

"I can confirm that both Vera and Harold were cremated at Macclesfield Crematorium.  Vera’s ashes were collected by Bernard Kenney Funeral Directors whilst Harold was collected by T. Wright.  I have no record of any placement being made within the Cheshire East cemeteries."

(no dates given)

Bernard Kenney -- still in business today:

http://www.bernardkenney.com/

They may tell you who collected the ashes / arranged the funeral -- or if there was a later interrment of ashes somewhere locally
