Help request for Guernsey - family name Brett

Hi Hope someone could help me as I have draw a blank from records.
My great grandfather was William Brett born 1847 in Guernsey and he married a girl called Harriett from Aldernay called Harriett, but I have now come to a halt. 
I wondered if anyone could help me with any information relating to his siblings, parents etc.?  His son (my grandfather) came to the mainland to join the army (Albert Brett) and married my nanny and stayed here in Surrey.
Fingers crossed someone could shed some light on him.

Could this be your William 'Brett' in 1841  If so then it might be worth looking at the 1841 census and looking under that spelling 'Brehaut' in St Torteval, Guernsey

Thank you for the information it all fits and I have updated the TREE.

However, does the island hold any information prior to the census?  I suppose I just want to see if anyone else has gone further back, i.e. William Brett's parents.
