I have published the Irish Motor Directory 1911-12 by Henry G. Tempest.

The Directory covers all 32 Counties in Ireland and also includes six County Boroughs (Belfast, Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Londonderry & Waterford).

The Directory lists the Registration, the Owners Name & Address and whether the vehicle is a Car or Bicycle.

The Irish Motor Directory is located at the following link :

http://lurgan-ancestry.co.uk/index.php/the-irish-motor-directory-and-motor-annual-1911-12/

I hope this info is useful those tracing ancestors in Ireland.

Having problems accessing this link. I'm looking for County Mayo, in particular James McHolme of Ellison st, Castlebar. can anyone advise me as to where the info is now? Many thanks

Thanks agahdowey. Where would I find the info? Had a quick look, it doesn't appear to be there, unless I've overlooked it. Thanks

Can't see it either but perhaps the site lost it when it was hacked?

However I think Wayback Machine can find it  :) LINK

The complete 1914-15 Irish Motor Directory is below:

http://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/IrishMotorDirectory1914.htm

Some fascinating background information as well, eg. the rise in motor cars registered in Ireland from 842 in 1905 to 10,923 in 1914.
