Part 2 which follows on from part 1 -

www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=506378.0

Original post from NorrieG

Over a number of years I have photographed most of the
Headstones in these  Cemeteries
East Wemyss Cemetery2300 headstones
West Wemyss Cemetery 210 headstones

Some of the stones are back to the late 1800s

If you care to supply me only with the names of the
Husband & Wife eg.
WW 2   James  Allan       Jemima     Gordon

I will check my index and if there is a stone I will supply you
with the Inscription and a photograph of the stone if required.

The photograph is the alter area inside West Wemyss
Church, the church stands within the cemetery.

Hi, I was wondering if you would have a photograph of my Great Grans head stone from East Wemyss, her name was Georgina Walker, her death was in 2005 and she was aged 96. It would be very much appreciated. x

Dear Norrie G
On page 8 of part 1, you replied to MitchPatrick and gave some information about the Patrick family as well as photos of the 2 Patrick headstones in McDuff Cemetery. Mitch is my husband's cousin, but we have been working independently on the Patrick family tree.
Part of the information given states that James Patrick married Agnes Webster which I agree with. Then it goes on to say that James Patrick's parents are Alexander Patrick and Mary Philp, and that Alexander's parents are John Patrick and Janet Hurlay. I can't find James Patrick's birth, although I have found 3 births to Alexander Patrick and Mary Philp, Cecil baptised 19.3.1773, Janet baptised 30.4.1775, and John baptised 20.11.1777. Are you able to help me with the baptism of James? or tell me where you came by the information please? I have looked for some time today on Scotland's People and I'm confused.
Thank you very much for the headstone photos and the other information about the Patrick family. Just brilliant. Best wishes, Teri in Oz
