Does anybody have a picture of the above cinema?
The place is now a Kingdom Hall but prior to the Jehova Winesses puchasing the building it was a Swimming baths and prior to that was a cinema owned by my wifes uncle Alan Stewart. Alan converted the cinema into a swimming baths in the 1950's.
He was also landlord of the Bush, Inn St Georges in the 1960's.
Amongst other cinemas that he ran were also the Regal in Hadley, The Cosy, in Dawley and the Royal also in Dawley. Another cinema was the Plaza in Coalbrookdale.
