William Wild - 1841 and 1851 census lookup please

Hello,

I have a fair amount of information on my GGG-Grandfather later in his life, but not alot about his early life.
 
He is quite consistent with his age on the census' - in 1861 he is 36 and 1871 he is 46. He is always listed as a Plumber and always gives his place of birth as Wolverhampton.

I'm not 100% about this, but I think he marries Mary Ann Serginson in 1845 in Manchester.

They live at 21 Islington Street, Altrincham in 1861 and 41 Trafford Street, Castleton, Rochdale in 1871.

I have no record of William in 1851. If Mary Ann was his wife, I do have her at her mother's in Lambeth, London in 1851. Married but minus a husband. Where ever is William?

Seeing as how my first real evidence of William is in Altrincham in 1861, I looked at possible William Wild's living in Altrincham in 1841.
I have found a good match.
Am I right in thinking on the '41 census that place of birth isn't recorded?

Still would like to see who this William Wild aged 15 is living with.

Sorry I just realised after I posted that only sort of looking for information in regards to Staffordshire. The truth is I don't know where he is. Could be still in his home town of Wolverhampton.

I'm not 100% about this, but I think he marries Mary Ann Serginson in 1845 in Manchester.

You need to confirm that marriage before proceeding further back.  A copy of one of the childrens birth certs will confirm Mary's maiden name and then the marriage cert will give William's fathers name and occupation

In 1861 the surname is spelt Wilde and eldest child is 9yrs old which does not tie in with an 1845 marriage

There are a number of William Wilde marriages which include a Mary/Mary Ann on the same page (eg) 1849 to Mary Ann Hill

William Wild full bachelor plumber   5 Cupid Alley. Father : Anthony Wild~ Shopkeeper
Mary Ann Serginson full spinster  9 Durham Street. Father: Thomas Serginson~ Bookpeeper

Both signed
Witnesses: James Stirrup and Eliza Serginson, both signed.

As Anthony is listed as widow on the above marriage to Elizabeth Walker, could this be his first marriage, possibly to Elizabeth's sister
