I was just looking at a transcript of the parish register yesterday. Luckily there's a bit more information on the actual certificate.

Jean's place of birth is given as Nogent-le-Rotrou, Eure et Loir, records are on-line. His father was Jean Francois, occupation 'propriétaire'

Mary Ann's father was a Shoemaker and the witnesses were Bienaimée Le Terrier and Constance Le Roux

Hi Pam,

Well, that is a real help and saves me from looking through three other departments.  I truly appreciate you're adding this new info which will be a great help in locating Émile's family.  Again, my sincere thanks to you and your research efforts on my behalf.

Have a great weekend!  Dennis

I found him and two brothers, and am three generations back already to the late 1700s.  Thanks again,  Dennis
