Ok below is what I have found on the Census which could be my John. I am led to believe that Nuneaton wasn’t only a silk weaving area, but also a mining area. What is the chances of someone who was a silk weaver becoming involved in the mining industry and then reverting back to silk weaving?

One problem I have with this is that if John was married to Mary Loe in 1807 then he would have been very young when he married - about 16 if you take his age as 60 from the 1851 Census.
