Annie Halliday married Joseph Thomas Scott in 1893.  Marriage registered Bramley, Leeds.

Their children in 1911 were Annie jnr 17, Joseph jnr 7 and 3 year old twins Ada and Roland.

Are these people your ancestors.   Annie snr was one of the sisters of my maternal grandfather.

Hi Kath,

Annie and Joseph married 25 April 1893 at St John the Baptist, New Wortley. The Parish Register is on West Yorkshire Parish Records on Ancestry.

I don't know if you know there were two other children who died in infancy. Robert, age 9 months, was buried 24 Feb. 1897 and Albert Cyril, age 18 months was buried 25 Aug. 1901.

Joseph Thomas was buried 29 Mar. 1937 and Annie was buried 1 Jan 1841.

All buried in New Wortley Cemetery, Consecrated grave 2361.

There are 5 'Public Member Trees' listed on Ancestry but one which appears to have quite a few records is not accessible on the site. You can however send a 'Private Message' to the tree owner via Ancestry.

Hope this helps and if you need anymore information on the marriage or the burials just let me know.

Regards, Ian

Hello Scotty

Somewhere in my collection of papers and old family photos is one of a family who I think is Annie nee Halliday who became Scott.   She had a definite resemblance to her brother George Halliday who was my maternal grandfather.   This is why I was keen to identify the family.  It is a while since I started my enquiries and to be honest over the past 3+ years my attention has been given to the living.
However it would be nice to know what happened to Grandfather's siblings and descendants.  I will look for this photo and send it as an attachment.

Cheers for now
Kath

Hello Kath
Roland Scott was my grandfather.  His twin sister was known as Kitty.
Roland married Gwendoline Mabel Atkinson in 1930 and had one child, Brian, my father, in 1931.
All three emigrated to Australia in 1948 by flying boat. Ro and Gwen never returned to England.
Brian married Denise Maree Donges in 1954, and have four children - David 1955, Bradley 1956, Nicholas 1959 and Anne 1961.
Roland died in 1992.
Gwen died in 2008.
Brian died in 2013.
Nice to know I have a relative somewhere out there.
Nick
