GIBBONS Alfred Henry b abt 1802 Amesbury

Please can anyone help me find Alfred's birth and marriage to Ann (b. abt 1802 Gosport Hants) around 1825-1828 (depends if 1st child Amelia was born in or out of wedlock).

Thanks....I felt sure I had seen that possible birth on familysearch a couple of days ago, but it seemed to have vanished today! I will go with it.

Just have to trace his marriage but that may well be Hampshire as Ann was born there.

I've found your post about Alfred Henry Gibbons from 2013.  I may be able to help with this family.  Are you part of the family?  Have you been able to trace his  date of birth yet?  Also I would be interested in any information you may have on Eliza Poole  and father William Poole.  Pam

I believe I have William Poole's parents and a sister, but not in any detail.

Re Alfred: I have traced back to his gt grandfather Henry Gibbons now, but need to visit Wiltshire archives to go into more detail as I see the family have history in Idmiston way back to 1500s! I can't get there very often and it could be months before i manage that and of course the old records are sometimes illegible.

I am doing this research for a very close friend whose mother was a Gibbons in this direct line as Alfred was her 2xgt grandfather.

Thanks for replying quickly.

I've gone back also to Henry Gibbons and his wife Rachel Sander.  Alfred Henry Gibbons is my GGG Grandfather.  If there is any information that you need or need help with I am willing to share.  I have recently found that there are other members of the family who have done quite a lot of work on our ancestors tree.  Eliza Poole and William I am  stuck with.  All I know about them is that she was born in Somerset.

and Henry Alfred Gibbons,born 1803 to Phillip and Ann

 Joshua born 1751, christened 26 Dec Idmiston, was brother to Philip, born 10 years later. Philip was Alfred's father, so uncle and nephew.

So maybe son of that joshua
