Hello
I presume that this is the extent of information that you have regarding Michael's connections to Ireland and that it comes from his wedding cert?
Have you tried IrishGenealogy? if you search for William Driscoll with Johanna Donovan you'll find one possible match. The mother is transcribed as  'Joan' but that shouldn't put you off.

JOHN DRISCOLL of N/R on 23 February 1841  (Fa: latin name 'Gulielmus')
Sponsor:PATK DRISCOLL, MARGT DRISCOLL

I did a quick search where Drissavemore maybe but no luck. Does anyone else know?
I also searched on IrishGenealogy just using Drisavemore, one 's',  and you get quite a few other records from others in the area.
So here's at least one possibility.

Griffiths Valuation for 1853 lists a Michael Driscoll in Drishanemore townland, where he had a house and some separate land.

Drishanemore is 3 or 4 miles south of Skibbereen, near Lough Hyne. You can see it using the maps on Griffiths Valuation (use the place name option and then clock on the map option. You can overlay a modern map by using the slider bar in the top rh corner of the screen).

http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml

There were only 14 households in the townland in 1911. It's 300 acres, so not very big. One of the families was an O'Driscoll family, so that may be yours.  (Note that the O & Mac prefixes on Irish names are detachable).

Hi,just wondering if my William Driscoll may fit in here.
My great grandmother was Mary Driscoll of Drishane she married Pat Hegarty of Laharadane. The marriage cert shows Mary's father as William Driscoll farmer of Drishane
It's difficult to know birth dates but maybe around 1844.
Does this fit with any one please?
I know the area and am aware that lough Ine is very close as is Killaderry where my grandmother born 1877 married into the Bohane's.
Does anyone have any idea who Williams wife may have been? Thanks.

For info.
I believe there are two separate areas called Drishane.
One is part of Castletownsend which I think is the one linked to above.
The other is Drishane more and Drishane Beg which are townlands on the south west coast and part of a spit of land near the beach of Tralispean. I believe it is this one where my William Driscoll and his daughter Mary lived.
