Hi,
are you sure it's Perth Scotland?  I don't know of a Courier newspaper for Perth Scotland but I believe there was one for Perth Canada.

Hi Gwen,
Welcome to Rootschat
There is an Archibald Fair with a wife Janet on the 1841 and 1851 Censuses at Clarkshill, Forgandenny, Perthshire. Archibald is a Sawyer and his place of birth is Forteviot, Perth. His wife Janet has a place of birth Beath, Fife. Is this the person you are looking for an obit for?

Looby :)

Yes, Janet, wife of Archibald Fair in Clarkshill, Clarkshill, Forgandenny, Perthshire, is the person I am interested in. I thought that she was the daughter of David Dougall (1768 – ) and Helen McNicol (  1785 – 1834) but I have been told otherwise. I'm hoping that the obit might identify her parents. Thanks!

The source I have for the obituary is Perth, Scotland Newspaper Index Cards, 1809-1990, so I don't believe it is the Courier in Canada. Thanks.

Hi Gwenda  :)

This looks to be Janet from what has been mentioned - http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/w/a/d/Frances-Waddingham/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0485.html

No details on her parents/family so far...although her 1864 death cert, with hopefully full parents' details, should be available to view on SP www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Gwenda, can I just check some details....

Do you have key info on Janet Dougall and just want to simply see what the obit says? Or, do you have any gaps about her and looking for any additional info? This will help people trying to help you further :) I think your request for info seems clear (just looking for details from her obit entry) but checking with you in case there any gaps and you are also looking for this type of info.
