Link: Index of Burial Grounds in Scotland

The Scottish Association of Family History Societies have just published an index to all burial grounds in Scotland on their website.

Clicking on the linked name for each brings up a new page with full details of that cemetery

Unfortunately it is not very accurate, but useful none the less.
Cheers

Hi Falkyrn

I did a quick look at Paisley ones as that's my home town and where a lot of my research is. There's a few I know arent there these days but as a guide I think useful because if it has disappeared due to redevelopment there will be a record somewhere that it has and what happened to any stones/remains.

So thank you for sharing!  ;)

I agree with Guy, I checked the Lanarkshire ones and there are lots of mistakes and that isn't counting all the burial grounds in Glasgow being listed as Glasgow Gorbals.
Paterson, Torrance, Gilchrist - Hamilton Lanarkshire.
McCallum - Oban, McKechnie - Ross of Mull Argyll.
Scrim - Perthshire.
Liddell - Polmont,
Binnie - Muiravonside Stirlingshire.
Curran, McCafferty, Stevenson, McCue - Co Donegal
Gibbons, Weldon - Co Mayo.
Devlin - Co Tyrone.
Leonard - County Donegal & Glasgow.

Having had a look at the match between the "Burial grounds" and the recorded "Parish" they are suppose to be in, there are definitely one or two problems there.

Great resource and has highlighted a few sites which I was not aware of in my local area.
