Thanks Mo
I appreciate your help.  I wonder if I could ask for a look-up on the 1891 for Charles Edward Harris and family

I`d be guessing as he didn`t marry until 1893, but this one looks likely given that the children were born in Llantarnam:

1891
9 Shop Row, Llantarnam, Mon.
Edward Fry, Head, Mar, 29, General Labourer, Somerset West Buckland
Grace, Wife, Mar, 28, Devon Hemyouck?!
Albert, Son, S, 3, Somerset Minehead
Alice, Daur, 10 months, Mon Llantarnam
CHARLES HARRIS, Lodger, S. 20, General Labourer, Hereford St. Margaret
ELIZA HARRIS, Lodger, Wid, 68, Hereford Dorston (Probably Dorstone)

Hi Mo
Thanks for the details; a good guess, Eliza is Charles's mother.

Best Regards, Roy

I am certain I found Eliza and Charles in 1881 living with a George Harris in Llantarnam yesterday.  He listed her as his Stepmother.  In 1871 Eliza and children were in the workhouse in Hereford.  They are not turning up in the searches today.  I will go and check my history log.

Hi Mo
According to a family tree on Mundia.com William Harris born 1819 Kentchurch and Eliza born 1825 Dorstone were the parents of George (1845), Hannah (1861), James (1863), Fanny (1865) and Charles Edward (1871).  Looking at the difference in birth year of George (1845) to the other children then it’s possibly William was a widow with a son George when he married Eliza.   When I located the 1881 entry for a William Harris (Kentchurch) and Eliza (Dorstone) I thought for sure I had the right couple.    ??? ???
