Help please.Possible look up?
« on: Monday 11 November 13 16:39 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find birth, death or marriage of John William Neate Perry.I know he existed as he is referred to in legal documents. His sister was born in 1848 and she is Mary Sarah Sissons Perry born in Devizes of parents John Perry of Devizes and Louisa Elizabeth Perry  nee Maslen born in Covent Garden.

Possibility that John William is not a Perry but used his 'father's' name, as his mother may have had a relationship….can't find under Maslen or his father is John Perry so therefore he is registered under a different name as his father was not married to his mother!

Unfortunately there is a history of this as John Perry the father left his wife Louise and daughter Mary in Devizes around 1850 and took off to London where he produced two more daughters with a Matilda Imison.

An elderly relative says she believes he was born in 1863 and yet another suggestion puts him as 1819 and not the son of 'our' John Perry at all!

I have searched in free BMD and on Ancestry and looked at random links on Roots but over the last two months am having no luck.

Any suggestions gratefully received! Thank you. :(

Might need to rethink the dates as John, Louisa, children and Matilda Imison are all together in Hackney in 1861
